A New Generation of Preservationists

WHALE is pleased to welcome Historic Preservation, Architecture and Planning students from Roger Williams University’s graduate level Interdisciplinary Planning Workshop to New Bedford to perform reuse feasibility studies on several vacant downtown buildings. As part of their coursework, the interdisciplinary teams prepare an architectural and financial analysis that can be used to aid in future restoration of the structures. Their course instructor is WHALE’s own Teri Bernert, who is coordinating their first experience of field work and helping to prepare a new generation of preservationists.
